La prossima espansione di Final Fantasy XIV è Stormblood

SQUARE ENIX Ltd ha annunciato la prossima espansione per l’acclamato FINAL FANTASY® XIV in diretta dal Fan Festival di Las Vegas, l’ultimissimo evento del gioco che ha registrato il tutto esaurito. Naoki Yoshida, produttore e direttore del gioco, ha svelato a decine di migliaia di fan appassionati che lo seguivano sia dalla sala da ballo del Paris Hotel di Las Vegas sia in diretta online, che la prossima espansione del gioco si chiamerà STORMBLOOD™.

Durante la sua presentazione, Yoshida ha svelato inoltre il logo ufficiale della nuovissima espansione e vari dettagli sui modi in cui il suo team continuerà ad espandere il mondo di Eorzea, inclusa una lista di funzioni mai viste prima all’interno del gioco e altri fantastici miglioramenti.

Il team di FINAL FANTASY XIV svelerà ulteriori informazioni sulla nuova espansione al Fan Festival di Tokyo (Giappone) il 24 e 25 dicembre 2016 e al Fan Festival di Francoforte (Germania) il 18 e 19 febbraio 2017.

LONDON (Oct. 17, 2016) – This past weekend, SQUARE ENIX® unveiled the highly anticipated second expansion to FINAL FANTASY® XIV during its Fan Festival in Las Vegas. Following the success of Heavensward™, the next chapter in the beloved MMO will take players to new and exciting locations.

Making its world debut, the Stormblood teaser trailer showcases the Warrior of Light honing his new skills during a high-octane sparring match with mysterious woman clad in red atop a colossal stone statue, while resistance fighters prepare for battle below.  The new expansion will include new jobs; an increased level cap up to level 70; sprawling new areas to explore; a revamped battle system; and all-new dungeons, raids, and alliance battle content.

More information on Stormblood will be shared at the Tokyo Fan Festival event on December 24-25, 2016, as well as during the European Fan Festival in Frankfurt, scheduled for February 18-19, 2017.

The summer 2017 release of Stormblood will also mark the end of PlayStation 3® support of FINAL FANTASY XIV. During the keynote, SQUARE ENIX detailed plans for a free upgrade service to the PlayStation 4® version, which will allow for players on the PlayStation 3® system to seamlessly continue their adventures following the launch of Stormblood.

With more than six million players globally, FINAL FANTASY XIV continues to deliver on the promise of bringing the best of the FINAL FANTASY experience to the online realm. The MMO recently celebrated its third anniversary, continuing to usher in new adventurers to the ever growing game world.
