I dettagli sull'i850

Il chipset i820 è stato un clamoroso insuccesso per Intel, primo produttore al mondo di CPU per Personal Computer, e alla compagnia di Andy Grove hanno dovuto ricorrere subito ai ripari per evitare che la concorrenza, VIA in primis, potesse approfittare del mercato lasciato scoperto dal suddetto chipset.
Le speranze di Intel sono tutte riposte nell'i815 e nell'i850 (Pentium IV) su cui quest'oggi iXBT Hardware ha pubblicato alcuni dettagli tecnici qui integralmente riproposti:
